T-Men 10 vs Victoria 9
This past week was a mix of jubilation and disappointment for the Bedrock Int A T-Men. It began on Tuesday with a visit from their arch rivals from Victoria. The game was very close on both ends of the floor, it saw the T-Men give up the first 3 tallies to the Shamrocks only to storm back and knot things at 3 going into the first intermission.
The second was a see-saw affair with each club taking turns with the lead and having Victoria hold the advantage going into the third.
The final frame again was a heads up with the cement men finding a way to keep coming up with the tying goal. With 15 seconds left on the clock and the ball in the Shammies zone the T-Men bench called a time out and 'O' Coach Scott Ranger designed the play. On the whistle Paul Brebber held the ball at the top and allowed the clock to tick down then zipped a pass to Isaac Haack on the right crease and he held it for another second to bring on the Vic 'D' then he scooted under the lunging Vic 'D' and shot the ball under the Vic keeper with 1 second remaining on the clock for the win.

T-Men 7 vs South Fraser 8
Saturday, the Bedrock men were back in action at the Frank with South Fraser providing the opposition. Again they spotted the foe a 3 goal lead and managed to break the egg with a goal to end the period. The 2nd, the T-men went out and tied the game then gave back one and then tied it up going into the third.
The table was set for them to take the 2 points' however undiaplined play and penalties were the demise of the T-Mens's hope for a good result.
"It is the opinion of the learned that this club could be as good as any we have floored in a couple of years, but selfish play and stupid penalties have been the teams down fall" said GM Bruce Clark, "Thing must change or we will be at the bottom of the league looking up at the field and the only title we will get is the most PIMs, and we are way better than that."

Embarking on a New Season
The Nanaimo Int.'A' Timbermen embark on a new season in the BCILL with high hopes for this years squad. This year we will floor a roster that see 10 returning vets from last years campaign.
The 2009 version of the Int. 'A' T-men will be captained by Nick Bell and he will also be counted on to anchor our 'D' corp. His assistants will be transtition specialist, Paul Brebber, Nanaimo and lefty sniper Stu Mills from Campbell River. Returning players include, Connor Morgan, Andrew Branting and Kris Hebert to the attack line. Ross Radcliffe to the transition position and Kyle "Middleman" Middleton, Jackson Holmes and Bryden Pelleiter make the 'D'-Zone a difficult place for the opposition to play.
The T-Men have a mixed crop of 2nd and first year rookies from all up and down the Island. From the Nanaimo Minor system highly regarded lefty Cory Koesdibyo and righty McGregor Johnston. From our #2 feeder system Campbell River, all around strong player Eddy Lawson can Defend , transition and and score the ball when needed, and the lefty- righty combination on attack of Ryan Hanna and Hayden Smith. Form the Saanich area Right handed attack Devon Casey is strong on his feet and possesses a hard accurate shot. and from the Great North of Prince George Isaac Haack will definitely put up some points in the Red, Black and white.
Second year rookies cracking the line-up are Marino Best of Nanaimo who was forced out of the line-up last season with a knee injury, from CR, Kane Rainaldi younger brother of former T-Men captain Cody. Elliot Jones and Stephen Harris from the Cowichan Valley Int. B program. For the first time ever Nanaimo Timbermen have signed a pair of Comox Valley lacrosse products in Adam Bakular-Evens and Erik McArthur, both play out the back gate but are able to transition the ball as well.
Back-stopping this years team are the tandem of Jared Jackson from the Saanich Int. program and Armin Grewal. They battled their way through a 5 keepers in camp including incumbent Logan Down from last year's club.
The Coaching staff of Brad Dougan and Kyle McInnis will be supported again this season by NLL ( Calgary Roughnecks ) and WLA scoring star Scott Ranger, and new to the team but not to coaching Sr.A T-Men's Simon Stocks who has coached in American Universities and in England. Goaltenders will be tutored by Calgary Roughneck and Sr. A T-Men's own Matt King.
We look forward to your support this season. Please check out our game schedule on this site.
